Yep, so my internet's being slow again- so I'm passing the time by posting something that possibly irrelevant to everything. So, I've been hearing news that someone could possibly be interested in making the Mortal Instruments into a film. I don't whether to be worried about this, but I'm excited nonetheless. If it ever happens, I would LOVE to see Emily Browning cast as Clary Fray, Megan Fox cast as Isabelle Lightwood and Alex Pettyfer as Jace Wayland- and speaking of Alex Pettyfer, the person I believe defines the word "beautiful", I hope that he'll get offered more fil roles in the future. Actually, I'm hoping his star is on the rise, 'cos that's what it's starting to look like for me :)

And, going back to my favourite fandom, it's now less than a month until Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince comes out. Now that's something to be excited about :) and it's also depressing, considering there's only one book (two films) and it's been over a ten year journey. I swear to god my life's going to be over once the second half of Deathly Hallows comes onto our screens and then to DVD. Yep, you've got yourself an overly obsessed, my-life-is-over-once-Harry-Potter-is-over kind of fan. If there's such a thing (besides me, anyway).

So yeah... that's about it. Just some more crazy fan-girling over Harry Potter and Alex Pettyfer :)

Okay, so I know that I said that I was over Twilight, but I just saw the trailer for New Moon, and what can I say? It looks much better than Twilight- and thank god it's missing the blue tones that the first movie had. Taylor Lautner/ Jacob Black looks fantastic as usual, but the trailer has gottem me excited for the new movie.  Just in the trailer, I saw a lot of pluses as opposed to those of the first film, but one thing that REALLY annoys me is Jasper's wig. It looks so... fake. And another thing: why does everyone's appearances keep changing? I thought Alice's wig in the first film was fine, but it's just annoying me. They're meant to stay and look the same way forever, not changing between two movies.

But anyway, that's just my opinion. The trailer looks great, and though I really can't say much because it's only about two minutes, I have a feeling that New Moon is going to be much better than Twilight, besides the fact Jacob has taken Edward's place :)

Just out of curiosity, are there any William Moseley/ Emily Browning manips out there? Or any Taylor Lautner/ Emma Watson manips?

Wow. I haven't posted here for a while. I guess it's because I never really have anything exciting to talk about. But anyway, I am soooo excited for the new Harry Potter movie when it comes out in July. And I am sooo over Twilight. Well, not Jacob Black, but Edward Cullen and everyone's obsession with him. So on this note, I discovered a series of books that are WAY better than the Twilight Series. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. In my opinion, they're second, only to Harry Potter.

Since everyone's become obsessed with Twilight, I've gotten over it- and I guess through all that I've noticed a lot of flaws in the series, but I am still thankful to Stephenie Meyer for making millions of people pick up a book and ditch video games- like J.K. Rowling had done so previously. I mean, why are people so hesitant to pick up a book? I've loved reading since I was about three... except then, the dictionary was my favourite :P

I think I'll read Inkheart next, once I get through Frankenstein and Sharknet for school- and get through all my SACs and exams. Oh, and I need to find an agent, or anyone who would be interested in representing my books. Hmm...

So, I just finished watching the Richmond vs Geelong. Besides the fact that Richmond played well enough to maybe even win, the decisions the umpires managed to pluck out of the air against Richmond were crap. I was ready to jump through the television and punch the umpires in the faces, though that's not entirely possible...

But still, I'm quite happy with how Richmond played this afternoon. I just don't understand where the competitiveness was last week when I was actually there- and against Carlton? If there's any team I want Richmond to beat, it's definitely Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon. I can handle a twenty point loss against Geelong ('cos I mean seriously... they're like, invincible) but an eighty three point loss against Carlton- of all teams? Yeah, I can't live with that. But it's a good thing it's all in the past now. And to end on a positive note, my man Jakey King played this arvo- and played alright, considering it was Geelong- and there were hardly as many errors because Tambling wasn't playing :P

Okay, journal update.
My computer died about... late December last year and it's taken us this long to get another one. And that's why I've had such a long absence from this place- and everywhere else that requires internet access. But now that I'm back, I can continue on with what I had been doing before my computer died :)

I am getting extremely pissed off about a possible recasting of Jacob Black for New Moon, so I thought I'd share. I want to keep Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black because he thoroughly deserves to keep the role, and hopefully this website (and many others) could maybe make a difference: http://www.myspace.com/keeptaylorproject

Life for me, at the moment, is incredibly dull and boring. I have no job (no surprises there) and it still pisses me off to this day that I don't have a job simply because I went on holiday for a week. Anyway, with Christmas coming up, that is the only thing I can look forward to really- well, who wouldn't when you've got a Nintendo Wii sitting beneath your Christmas tree!? XD

Still, I'd like to get in contact with an agent before I go back to school in February, or at least make some progress to the publishing of one of my books. Well, with one more round of editing and re-reading of my werewolf novel, that will probably be the first I'll send off to someone- the other one is still in it's "five-more-editing-and-then-I'm-done" stage before I can even think about doing something with it. I just hope the world's prepared for yet another series of fantasy books- whether it's this one or the one that I'm just about finished with.

And going back to my dull and ever-so-boring life, I really want to do something spectacular and exciting. Besides the usual of seeing friends and going to the movies kind of things. Wait, while I'm talking about movies, I saw both Australia and James Bond- both fantastic movies, although Quantum of Solace was a little too short for my liking. Australia, however, really made me proud to be Australian (not that I wasn't already before). The breathtaking scenery of the Northern Territory made me realise that so many people take out great country for granted- as I do. I would really love to take a trip to the Northern Territory- and definitely to Darwin, considering there's a few personal reasons to take me there. I also saw Twilight, and that was mindblowing. Though it doesn't come out until tomorrow, I saw it a couple of weeks ago. Although things seemed a bit rushed, the movie was good. Especially the baseball scene- and praise for Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Billy Burke, for their roles as Emmett, Alice and Charlie.

And that's about it. I really needed to get stuff off my chest, and considering I am still bored, I will go back to my boredom and the routine I am now stuck in. xoxo

Okay, I managed to get one thing right about my tips for last night's Brownlow: Richo would make the top five, and he did. Actually, he only needed three Brownlow votes to come equal first with Adam Cooney. But oh no- he didn't poll any votes in the last two rounds, nor did Gary Ablett, Simon Black or Adam Cooney.
Anyway, I tears came to my eyes when I finally realised that Richo wasn't going to win the Brownlow, as I knew so many people had wanted. But it still amazes me how a thirty three year old athlete can still compete with guys that are younger than him, and still just about come on top. So, whatever people have to say about Richo are completey wrong- he is a champion of the game and should be immortalised in bronze outside the MCG.

Okay, considering the Brownlow is on tonight, here are my tips!
Anyway, I have a feeing the Brownlow will be won by a Geelong player- preferrably Gary Ablett or Jimmy Bartel. If not, then perhaps someone like Luke Hodge or maybe Lance Franklin. I'm hoping that Richo will at least make the top five, but because Geelong's full of such good players, they'll be taking votes off one another so it's kinda difficult to tell who's gonna win :P I'm still going with Gary Ablett, but good luck to everyone tonight- and congratulations to Robert Harvey on a fantastic career and I hope everything goes well for him in the future :)

*Special Mod Announcement - Sticky
Since I'll be censored elsewhere, I just thought I would use my own comm to promote a plan of action towards the cancellation indefinite postponement of Midnight Sun.

It's started. There's online petitions and letter sending groups being organized to try to convince Stephenie Meyer to finish writing Midnight Sun.

I refuse to do any of it and urge other Twilight fans to boycott Meyer's actions as well.

While I do think that she has every right to be angry that the draft has been leaked and I agree that her personal rights and copyrights have been violated, I believe that the way she is handling the situation is completely unprofessional. I refuse to beg her to finish writing a book because that's exactly what she wants from the fanbase. It only supports her for reacting in such an offensive way.

Also, with regards to statements she's made recently about the cancellation, a lot of this seems to do with the negative reaction a large portion of the fandom has had towards Breaking Dawn. Her ego and confidence have taken a beating as some fans have been extremely critical and it's affecting her drive to write anything more for the Twilight fandom.

She blames the fans for what has happened and she has turned her back on us. We are the ones who have given her everything she's gotten from Twilight. Does she think she'd be doing things like touring with October Sky for the book's release without our support? Does she think she'd be directing music videos or seeing her creations brought to life on the silver screen without us? While I do not promote viral distribution or illegal downloading in any way, I have to note that the leaked portions of the book were eagerly anticipated because the fans were excited for the book. She sees our excitement and condemns us for it. Something is very wrong about that.

It is incredibly offensive how quickly she turned her back on the fandom. Other authors have had to deal with such leaks and breaches of confidence. They, however, keep writing. They do not punish the entire fandom for the mistakes of a few misguided individuals.

Stephenie Meyer has done the unforgivable. She has turned her back on the fans and that is the one rule any person whose success is fan-based should not break.

This is not a post for hate. Simply a post urging other fans not to buy into begging. We have more dignity than that. Comments that are blatantly hateful will be removed because that's not what this is about. Peaceful protest is the key.

Considering I haven't posted in my journal for weeks, I thought I might as well make an entry while I've got nothing else to do.

Anyway I just wanted to say that I was pretty upset with Breaking Dawn; I really didn't consider it to be the final book in the Twilight series, because it seemed more of a continuation rather than an ending. I would've loved to see more arguments occur between Jacob and Edward for Bella's love, but nothing of the sort happened... instead Jacob went ahead and impress on Renesmee. And I mean seriously... what kind of name is Renesmee? I get that Renee and Esme's names were put together, but seriously... and because Twilight keeps getting compared to Harry Potter, I've decided to make my own comparison. JK Rowling finished off the Harry Potter series wonderfully with a huge fight as everyone had expected, with numerous loss of wonderful characters and so forth: I would've loved to see an all-out war between the vampires and thoe of the Volturi- but everything ended peacefully for the Culens to never be bothered again.

And really, Breaking Dawn really didn't do that much for me. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows left me all teary eyed and depressed for weeks, simply because the book was absolutely stunning and connected well with its readers- I'm not saying that Breaking Dawn didn't, but it really didn't get any emotions out of me besides the fact that I was confused and really didn't know what to think of the book. And I really didn't get the concept of Bella getting pregnant in the first place, considering I didn't think it'd be possible for vampires to actually be able to have children (going by Stephenie Meyer's vampires).

There is no way in hell I am bagging out Stephenie Meyer, considering the Twilight books are one of my favourites; I just wasn't happy with Breaking Dawn. So if I've offended anyone, I'm sorry- but this is my opinion and I've been paranoid about getting my opinion out since I finished the book a couple of weeks ago :P

Though I am now madly in love with Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Cullen, I can't help but swoon everytime I see Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black! When is there going to be any websites dedicated to him!? We need more than what there currently is! :P

Anyway, speaking of Twilight, I fall in love with the cast more and more each day, especially Taylor as Jacob and Jackson as Jasper. They are both totally swoon-worthy, as is Robert and Kellan. I think the casting directors have done a wonderful job with who they have chosen to act in the film, but I still don't know about Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan. There is something I don't like about her, but I can't really put a finger on it. Actually, I think it might be because she doesn't look at ease like everyone else is on the set. But yeah... though I originally was pleased with Taylor chosen to portray Jacob Black in the film, I love him so much more because he reminds me of someone I know at school.

Anyway, I think this rambling of Twilight and the brilliant casting is going on for a bit too long for my liking, so I think I'll end it here. TAYLOR LAUTNER is my new favourite actor :)

If you picked up a book at a bookstore because it looked relatively interesting, would you go and buy it?
But if the first sentence of the synopsis on the back was: "I could be your Edward Cullen." would you feel more compelled to buy it? I think I would!
